Lift the slide at the front of the bin and shovel some out. It should be dark and moist and not smell of anything that you put in the top!

Start making plans for your new compost which may lead you to growing vegetables or flowers for the first time.

You may want to make friends with an experienced gardener to get advice on growing fruit and veg.
